Valentino Garavani Fake vs Real: What to Actually Check
At this price you should not take anyone's word for it, ours included. Here is what to examine.
The studs. On genuine Rockstud pieces every pyramid stud is individually set, evenly spaced, with sharp defined edges and a consistent finish. Counterfeits use moulded or glued studs that sit slightly proud, with rounded tips and inconsistent gaps. Run a finger across them. Real ones feel uniform.
The leather. Valentino Garavani is made in Italy from full grain calfskin. It has a fine natural grain, a soft hand, and it smells like leather rather than chemicals. Fakes use coated or corrected leather that feels plasticky and creases in hard lines rather than soft folds.
The insole stamp. Genuine pieces carry a cleanly embossed brand mark inside, crisp and evenly pressed. Blurred, shallow, or off centre stamping is a bad sign.
The box and card. Real pieces arrive with a rigid branded box, dust bag, and authenticity card with matching model references. Mismatched references across box, card, and shoe are the fastest tell there is.

Sizing
Valentino Garavani uses Italian sizing, which runs narrow and slightly small compared to most brands.
A 42 is roughly a UK 8 and a US 9, but the fit through the toe box is closer than you may expect, particularly on the loafers and the Open sneakers. If you have a broad foot, most people go half a size up.
Tell us your usual size in a brand you already own, and the width of your foot, and we will tell you what to take in the specific model you are considering. On a purchase this size, that two minute conversation is worth having.

We would rather do this slowly and properly.
Message us on WhatsApp with what you are after. If it is the loafers in stock, we will send you images and video of the actual pair, including the hardware, the insole, and the packaging, so you can look at it properly before deciding.
If it is something we need to source, tell us the model and colour. We will check our markets and come back with a price and a realistic timeline. Nothing is ordered until you confirm, and if we cannot get it at a number that makes sense, we will say so rather than quietly padding the quote.
We will also tell you honestly if we think a different piece suits what you have described better, even where it costs less. A single wrong purchase at this level does more damage to trust than a sale is worth to us.
