Lacoste uses numeric sizing rather than S, M, L. On the standard men's scale, 2 is extra small, 3 is small, 4 is medium, 5 is large, 6 is extra large, and 7 is double extra large. So if you normally wear a Large, you are looking for a 5.
On top of that, the cut is European and slim through the chest and shoulder. If you are used to American brands, the same nominal size will feel closer to your body here. And the classic fit and slim fit differ meaningfully, so the two are not interchangeable even at the same number.
